We are extremely lucky to have some brilliant Play Leaders from Year 6
The Year 6 children undertake an intensive training coure provided by our Sports Partnership, Leigh Academy Tonbridge School Sports Partnership (LATSSP), at the beginning of each year. The role of the Play Leader is to organise and run structured lunchtime playground activities each day for Reception, KS1 and KS2 children.
Some of the most popular games that they like to play are: obstacle courses, team games and running races. The children are also taught skills such as skipping, catching and throwing. Play Leader activities are great because they not only help children to get active during their break times, but it also helps them to enjoy themselves through structured play and activities.
