Ofsted Inspection (25th & 26th March 2025).
The inspection was a thorough and robust process where every aspect of our school was put under the inspection team’s microscope! It was also an opportunity for the strengths of the school to be acknowledged and our plans for the continued success and development of the school to be validated.
The report is a strong vindication of the incredible hard work and professionalism of all the staff, the endeavor and excellent behaviour of our pupils and the support of you as parents and carers. As in previous reports it makes extremely positive reading, affirming that we provide a high quality education which puts our pupils on the path to future success.
Unsurprisingly the pupil’s behaviour was exemplary. Their positive attitudes towards each other and their learning means that the children can participate in real learning and rise to the high expectations we have for all of them.
We were delighted to receive acknowledgement that the safety and welfare of our pupils remains our top priority allowing us to create a happy and safe school where our pupils flourish.
The inspector has given us a strong endorsement, supporting the overwhelmingly positive comments from parents. Predictably, the Inspector agreed with our own self-evaluation and development plans; on which we can build so that we continue to provide an excellent education for all our pupils.

Moving forward, rest assured, that St John’s will remain a school where expectations are high, opportunities abound and children flourish in all areas of school enabling them to ‘live life to the full’.
