Reception Newsletter 31.01.20
This week
We have had another really busy week thinking about the Chinese New Year.
We have made dragon snappers and paperchain dragons. We tasted Chinese food and enjoyed learning the story about the animals and why the years are named after them.
We have looked at ch and sh in reading and spelling. The children are doing brilliantly with their tricky words-thanks for your support! We have moved on to the Phase 3 tricky words in our phonics sessions. If you would like to listen to the songs we sing every day, here are the links:

Next week
We will look at th and ng and practise writing sentences. We will be turning the role play area into a restaurant and take-away in preparation for our pizza express trip on the 13th.
In maths we will look at making 5 in different ways.
