This week

We have covered the rest of the tricky words and the children should now have them stuck in their yellow reading records. We have looked at the letters b,l and f and are nearing the end of Level 2. Children should be blending words now and I am giving out reading books to those who are confident.
In maths we were thinking about one more and one less and enjoyed singing lots of counting songs.
We got changed for PE this week! It was a great success and the children didn’t need much help at all-thank you!
In music, we marched up and down like soldiers and played drums to “The Grand Old Duke of York.” We are well in to rehearsing our songs for the Nativity too.

Next week

We are looking at circles and triangles in maths and will cover the last few sounds in Level 2 phonics.

*The school nurse team will be in to do the children’s flu sprays on Wednesday morning if you have signed up online.
*There is another own clothes day on Friday-please bring in something red for the PTA Christmas hampers.

There have been a lot of children off school this week with a horrible virus, so library books may not have been changed or letter cards and tricky words may not have been stuck in. We will try and ensure that we catch up everything by the end of this week, but please email me if you think you have anything missing!
Tuesday will be the last time we change library books this term. We will collect them in on Nov 28th as we get very busy with Christmas after that!

Thanks for all your support as always,

Alice Greening
