Apologies for the late publication of the newsletter this week.
This week
We have survived in the heat! The childen have been fantastic as I have been in and out of the classroom a lot too!
We have continued with Level 4 phonics and are progressing well with reading the new tricky words. We have been learning about odd and even numbers and practised when getting into pairs for PE.
The PE session this week was all about playing games fairly and the children had to organise who took which part in the game and how to make it fair without adults intervening. It was a fascinating lesson to teach!
We have started reading with Year 3 over the last few weeks as Year 6 get busy and this prepares the children for their new buddies next year.
We had a fabulous assembly on Friday by our school woodwind teacher and the children loved listening to the live music.
Next week
We will continue with Level 4 phonics and learn about grouping in maths. We will begin to practise for sports day in our PE sessions now and continue preparing for the move to Year one in building up more whole class lessons where appropriate.

PHOTOS MONDAY 19th JUNE
The class photos are of the informal type where the children are arranged in groups and then the separate photos are put together to make a whole class photograph. You may want to encourage your child to wear plain socks as they do have to take their shoes off and sometimes interesting socks have been on show!
Thanks for your support as always,
Alice Greening
