This week
In phonics we have been continuing to revise level 3 phonics and writing sentences including specific sounds and tricky words.
In maths we have been learning to decrease a quantity within 10 and 20. We have also begun to learn about selecting shapes for a purpose within grouping and rotating shapes to fit in a pattern.
In art we have been looking at the natural world and noticing different features within it. We enjoyed a lovely walk to the school field where the children explored the wooded area feeling the bark of the trees and searching through the fallen leaves for minibeasts. The children have competed wonderful mirror image insect drawings.
Next week
In phonics we will continue revising level 3 phonics and writing sentences including specific sounds and tricky words. In maths we will be continuing to look at shape through manipulating shapes and explaining shape arrangements.
In art we will be creating large art from nature in the wooded area on the school field, let’s hope for more good weather!
