This week
This week in phonics we have be revising some level 3 sounds oo, oo, or and ar and learning the new tricky words ‘are’ and ‘all’. We have been practicing saying and writing simple sentences together. In maths we have been learning to find 9 and 10, compare numbers to ten and conceptual subitising to 10 (adding two numbers together that do NOT exceed 10).
The children continue to enjoy playing in our new Flower Shop / Florist role play area which supports our learning around spring and growing things. The children have been learning to draw rabbits and Easter chicks which you will all get the opportunity to see in the near future!
Next week
In phonics we will continue revising some level 3 sounds as well as revising some of the level 3 tricky words. In maths we will be learning all about number bonds to 10, arranging objects to 10, finding double and making double.
We will continue to explore the season of spring and begin to plant our own seeds supporting our learning in science.
Notices
Friday the 15th is Red Nose Day and the children are invited to wear something red to school on this day.
