This week
We loved our trip to Blackberry Farm! I hope you enjoy looking at the photos together.
We have been looking at problem solving in maths and carrying on with Level 4 phonics. We did a lovely drawing activity with our Y6 buddies on Wednesday and practised running and long jump in PE in preparation for Sports Day.
Notices
Sports Day Friday 14th July
The children can come into school in their sports day clothes. This is a house colour T shirt and normal PE kit on the bottom. I will send the PE kits home on Wednesday after our PE lesson. Children do not need to bring their book bags in on sports day-they should just bring a water bottle and coat if needed. Sun cream can be applied once you arrive to watch your child if needed.
I will presume you are coming at 12 to have a picnic lunch with your child unless you tell me otherwise. Please notify me by email if you are not coming for the picnic part and you wish your child to have school lunch, so we know where to send the children on the day.
Reading books
The last book change will be on Monday 10th July. Children should then have a chance to read all books before I collect the books in on Monday 17th July. To keep up with reading over the Summer, you can still play “Teach your monster to read” and also download the Rhino readers app for a small charge which has some school reading books on. Don’t forget the library challenge too.
Tapestry
Over the next two weeks, you should receive an email to let you know that you can download your child’s learning journey if you wish. The “Class news and information” pages won’t be available for download so if there are any pictures on there you wish to keep, please right click and save the individual pictures.
The children will be visiting their new class on Tuesday afternoon next week! We had a very successful free play afternoon between the two classes this week, so I am sure the children will have a super afternoon.
The reports will be sent home on the 17th July digitally with your own child’s record of their learning sent in their book bag as a paper copy.
