We are nearing the end of term, so are winding down our learning and doing Christmas activites over the next two weeks, including learning about the Christmas story. Our focus in Reception is Light and Jesus as the Light of the world.

Please return any outstanding library books-there are still several missing thanks.
Nativity
The children will get changed into their Nativity costumes on Monday (performance to the school) Tuesday, and Wednesday. If your child finds it difficult to dress themselves, please put them in “easy” clothes on these days e.g polo shirts rather than shirts with buttons and ties. Thanks.
Thank you for replying to the ticket request for the Nativity. The numbers are within safety guidelines for each day, so there will be no need to send home paper tickets. There will just be a list on the door.
Please note the Nativity will be filmed and there will be an opportunity after the performance for a photo of your child in their costume, so please do not take any photos or video during the performances.
The Reception chldren will be sitting on the RIGHT HAND SIDE as you look at the stage so it would be best to sit that side if you can. We do take a small part in the action, but mostly we help with the singing to support Year 2 who act out the story.
If you are attending the Tuesday afternoon performance, you can collect your child early after the performance once they are changed from the normal classroom playground door. If you are attending the Wednesday performance, we will take the children back to class quite quickly to minimse any upset that they have seen parents and then you leave again which can sometimes happen. Please support us in saying goodbye promptly to your child so we can get them back to a normal school routine and help settle them if they do feel sad. Thanks.
Christmas party
On the afternoon of Monday 11th December we will be having our Christmas party with Class One and Two. Children can bring in party clothes to change into after lunch and they will receive a biscuit, a drink and a packet of crisps during the afternoon. If your child does not normally attend school in the afternoons, I will catch up with you this week about them attending the party with us as we would love to have everyone there!
Many thanks
Alice Greening
