This week
In phonics we have learnt the new sounds: air, ure and er. We have covered tricky word “they” and have been practising writing words as well as short sentences together. We have been exploring time in maths having great fun seeing how many objects we can move in 30 seconds up to two minutes. In PE we have continued practicing ball skills, rolling, bouncing and catching with a partner. We have been very lucky to have had a drum workshop where all the children were amazing at listening and drumming to the beat through story telling.
Next week
In phonics we will be revising level 3 sounds and learning the new tricky word ‘here’ We will be practicing saying and writing simple sentences together. In maths we will be learning to find 9 and 10 and compare numbers to ten.
The children are enjoying playing in our new Flower Shop / Florist role play area which supports our learning around spring and growing things.
Notices
It is world book day on Friday 8th and the children are invited to come dressed as a favourite book character, we also have plenty of spare dressing up clothes if needed.
