This week
It has been a very busy week with the Nativity play and our school open morning on Thursday. We really hope you enjoyed the show. We were all very proud of the children for singing so well and remembering their special part to play.
Between the shows, we have continued with phonics and have been recapping Level 2. We have actually finished our maths curriculum for this term, so we have replaced our maths sessions this week with talking about the Christmas story and doing some RE activities.
Next week
Monday-KS1 party. The children can bring “party clothes” to change into after lunch. We will go into the hall and play some games with Year one and two and then come back to the classroom for something to eat. We do often go outside after this to get some fresh air, so bear that in mind when thinking about party outfits and shoes!
Tuesday-I will be out of class in the morning as I am at Glyndebourne with the school choir. Mrs Blakely will be covering assisted by Mrs Warrener.
Wednesday-We will have our school Christmas dinner. The children still get a cracker and join in the fun even if they choose to have a packed lunch.
Thursday-Seems to be a normal day so far…!
Friday-Christmas jumper day
Thanks for all your support with providing the costumes for the children. We are still missing a black “skins” type top if anyone ended up with an extra in their bag. Please return it to school if you find one.
