This week
The children have settled really well. They are managing lunch without their buddies now and have been learning all the routines brilliantly. We have been doing a lot of free choice play to teach how to use the resources and build friendships in the classroom.
Next week
All children may come in between 8.40 and 9am from Monday. Children may come down to the classroom on their own, with a sibling or a friend. If you feel your child is still needing some support at drop off time, please stick to the end of this timing and children can come down to the classroom in a group with Mrs Warrener.
We will start to go out to play in the morning with the whole school. The children will be met by their buddies and taken out to the playground.
Children can start full time if you feel it is appropriate for them. Please email me over the weekend if you would like your child to continue with part time hours for longer. This can be every day or a mixture of mornings and afternoons. Children do not have to be in school full time until the term after their fifth birthday so do take advantage of this if you feel your child needs more settling time or if they are feeling really tired after school.
Pick up at lunchtime is 1.15 at the main door and for full days it is 3.15 at the classroom gate in the playground.
Lunches
There is one more week of the paper menu that was sent out, but if you have managed to activate your parentpay account, you can use that as soon as it is active. Any queries, please contact the office, as I do not have access to parentpay.
Birthdays
Sometimes children like to bring in small bags of sweets if it is their birthday in school time to give out to their friends at home time. This is no way compulsory! Please be mindful that we have several allergies in the class this year to dairy and nuts if you are bringing anything in. We do not share cakes or other treats in school time for birthdays.
I am afraid we cannot give out a class list due to data regulations, but we are happy to put invites into children’s book bags for birthday parties.
Parents meeting
Apologies. The date for the parents meeting is Wednesday 27th September at 7pm, not the 28th in my previous correspondance.
