Reception Newsletter 10.07.20
This week
We have looked at the last sound in Phase 3 in phonics URE and have been recapping all the Phase 2 and 3 sounds. The children have continued to work on their tricky words for reading and spelling.
In maths, we have learnt about sharing into groups equally, especially focusing on halving.
Next Week
We will recap all the learning from the last few weeks and make time to have lots of fun with our friends in the last week of our Reception class!
Tapestry Downloads-REMINDER
We will not add any more new observations of the children now.
From this weekend, I will start to download the children’s whole journals as PDF files and then they will be available for you to download to keep digitally at home. You will receive a notification when this is available and the link will last for 3 weeks. Please let me know before the end of July if you have any problems with this, (you can email me) as we will begin to transfer the new children onto the system from the start of August. (Warning- They are very big files!)
**If there are any photos or videos you want to keep from the “Class news Reception” account rather than your own child’s, please right click on these and download them individually as this journal will not be available as a whole for download.**
Notices
- Remember it is an INSET day on Monday! See you on Tuesday.
- Please return any reading books or library books that you still might have at home next week. There will be a box at the front of school at drop off and pick up time. Thank you. You can keep the children’s reading record wallets at home and bring them to school when you return in September please, as it looks like reading books will be able to go home next term.
Have a lovely long weekend with your families,
Best Wishes,
Mrs Greening, Mrs Harris, Mrs Warrener and Mrs Young
