Reception Newsletter 13.12.2019
This week
We have finished Phase 2 phonics, which is a great place for the children to be at this point in Reception and will move on to Phase 3 sounds after Christmas.
Thank you for your support with the Nativity plays this week. I thought the children performed beautifully and their behaviour throughout has been excellent. We were very proud of them.
Next week
Key Stage One party –Tuesday afternoon 17th December.
The children may bring party clothes in a bag to change into after lunch. There is no need to provide anything as the PTA kindly do the food for our parties. Please note; the children will probably go out for an afternoon playtime to get some fresh air after the games in the hall, so please bear that in mind when choosing their outfits or footwear!!
Christmas Jumper Day Friday 20th December
Children can wear their own clothes and a Christmas jumper. Please don’t think you have to buy one specially-they can wear Christmassy colours and tinsel or a Christmas hat instead.
This will be the last newsletter of the term, so we would like to take this opportunity to thank you for all your support in settling your children so well this term. They have made a great start to school life and we look forward to welcoming them all back to some sense of normality in January!
As always, please do not hesitate to email me with any questions or queries: ag@stjohnsprimary.org
Have a really restful break with your families when Christmas comes,
Best Wishes,
Mrs Greening, Mrs Warrener and Mrs Young
