Reception Newsletter 08.07.19

Last week
We have been revising all our Phase 2 and 3 sounds and tricky words by playing games and doing partner challenges and have been using our skills when reading and writing.
We have used the field for PE and practised our throwing and catching skills with a partner.
We also made the most of the fine weather by using the field for art this week, as you will see on Tapestry.
All the children now know how to turn the computer on, log on and select a program and we visited the computer room as a whole class for the first time in preparation for the increased independence of Year One.

Ways to support your child’s learning this week:

I know the children are getting very tired at this point in the year, so any reading at all is good! Thank you for all your support.

Tapestry Downloads

Thank you for all your uploads onto Tapestry during the year. It has been invaluable for adding to the picture of the children’s learning. You may have noticed that we have been using this less over the last few weeks, as we have been recording data for the county and also writing the children’s school reports. We will now not upload any new learning and would ask you to do the same please. (You could email me any pictures if the children would like to share anything with their friends) Over the next two weeks, we will start to download the children’s observations as PDF files and then they will be available for you to download to keep at home. You will receive a notification when this is available and the link will last for 3 weeks. Please let me know before the end of July if you have any problems with this, as we will begin to transfer the new children onto the system from the start of August.

Notices
