The children are really beginning to settle into the rhythms and routines of school. I’m so proud of how confidently they have walked down to the classroom from the front entrance with siblings, buddies and year 6 children at the start of the day this week and hope that they are too.

We are still collecting family photos, so if you haven’t yet sent one in, you can still do so, the children are enjoying seeing them go up on display.

Next week we look forward to full days of school. However, please remember that if your child is struggling (school can be very tiring at first) then they can remain part-time.

We often engage in messy play here in reception and we have water and sand outside every day, so please ensure your child has a change of clothes in school, just in case.

On Wednesday I will be out of school for the day, attending a first aid course. Mrs Cooper will be taking the class in the morning and Mrs Blakely will cover the afternoon. The children met Mrs Blakely today when she visited our classroom and the familiar faces of Mrs Warrener and Mrs Knife will also still be here.

Reminder – please can you ensure that water bottles only contain water and not squash or juice.

Have a wonderful weekend,

Kind regards,

Jo Bentley
