This week got off to a super start with our school trip on Monday. We had a great day at Blackberry Farm, all the children behaved beautifully, I was very proud of them all. Thank you for all your donations today, the children enjoyed wearing their own clothes.
In phonics we have been reading CVCC words and writing short phrases and sentences. We have revisited b and d as these can be tricky to get the right way around and learnt two new common exception words ‘said’ and ‘so’. In maths we have explored pattern further, creating our own pattern rules and we have been using positional language to build and describe scenes and constructions as well as continuing to practice counting beyond twenty.
In P.E. we continued with team games in preparation for sports day, focusing on working as a team, following the rules and keeping score. In R.E the children have been learning about special places and have been exploring the features of a mosque with Mrs Blakeley and creating models and pictures. We have also been busy making Fathers Day cards this week all ready for Sunday, so please do check your child’s book bag.
Thank you for your ongoing support, have a wonderful weekend.
