I can’t quite believe next week will be our last full week in reception together! We will be having lots of fun next week, as we focus on transitions and spend time thinking and talking about how much we have grown, celebrating our achievements and everything we have to look forward to in year 1. The children will be enjoying some time in the year 1 classroom, meeting their new teachers, as well as watching the Year 6 performance, which we are all looking forward to.

This week in phonics we have been blending, segmenting and writing polysyllabic words such as ‘starfish’ and ‘thunderstorm’. We have been writing short sentences and practising our tricky words. In maths we have been consolidating our learning, using our reasoning skills to finish number stories as well recording some of our maths, writing digits and symbols.

Please can I ask that no more tapestry uploads are made now, as I finalise the children’s records and organise the information needed for you to download what has been recorded on there this year.
