What a great first term! The children have settled well and are enjoying school life. They have all worked so hard, I expect they are really looking forward to a well deserved break.
It was lovely to see so many of you at the parents evenings held this week. As discussed, please continue to use the flashcards at home over the half term to practise segmenting and blending to reads words, a skill we have been focusing heavily on this week. The children should now all have a reading record book, alongside their flashcards. Inside their reading record are the log-in details for ‘Numbots’ and ‘Teach Your Monster to Read’.
Lots of artwork also came home today with the children, as well as their p.e. kit. Please continue to encourage their independence with dressing and undressing, the children all did so well this week when we had our p.e. lesson, we could tell they had been practising.
Reminder: Please could you complete the online acceptable use policy, if you haven’t already done so.
Thank you for your support. I hope you all have a wonderful half term break and look forward to seeing everyone again on Monday 4th November.
