This week in phonics we have continued to read and blend CVCC words and have learnt 4 new tricky words: have, like, come and some. In maths we have been combining numbers as well as looking at scenes and constructions from different perspectives, describing what we can see using positional language and exploring mapping. We considered what an ariel view looks like, explored google earth and had a go at creating our own ariel maps of the classroom as well as representing our journey to school with symbols and labels.
We read stories from the Supertato series and described characters from the books with new vocabulary, drawings, words, short phrases and sentences. We wondered what might happen next and drew pictures to represent our ideas.
In p.e. we went down to the field and ran running races, practising running whilst staying in our own lane. We are looking forward to Sports Day next week. Please do ensure that if the weather is hot on Wednesday that children are wearing sun cream and that they bring a sun hat and water bottle.
Have a wonderful weekend, thank you for your support ,
