A big thank you for all the named carrier bags of clothes that have been sent to school in preparation for our school nativity. If you haven’t already sent in a black bottom and top for your child, could you please do so on Monday so that we can join year 1 and 2 for a dress rehearsal on Tuesday.

We have now covered all the level 2 sounds in our phonics lessons, and the children are continuing to practise recognising and reading the tricky words the, to, go, no and I. We practise letter formation each day and will continue to do this, with a focus on forming words with the sounds we know and writing them. Please continue to help your child to hear the individual sounds in words

Next week in maths we will move onto shapes with four sides, using mathmatical language whilst exploring the properties of shape. Next week also brings the start of December, our nativity practise will be ramping up an notch and we will be fully embracing the build up to Christmas in the classroom.
